Who is the Grievance Officer?

In compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, HireStepX has appointed a Grievance Officer to address complaints and grievances of users.

How to file a grievance

Email your complaint to grievance@hirestepx.com with the subject line "Grievance – [brief description]". Include:

• Your registered account email address
• A description of the issue or complaint
• Any relevant screenshots or order IDs

Response timelines

• Acknowledgement: Within 24 hours of receiving your complaint
• Resolution: Within 15 days of acknowledgement, as required under the IT Rules 2021
• Data requests (access / correction / erasure under DPDP 2023): Within 7 working days

Your rights under DPDP Act 2023

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erase your data (right to be forgotten)
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf
• Grievance redressal through this Officer

If your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction within 30 days, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India once constituted under the DPDP Act 2023.

For content-related complaints under the IT Rules 2021 (unlawful content, misinformation, etc.), please also write to the above email. We respond within 24 hours for urgent safety concerns and within 15 days for all other complaints.
